Ingredients :
4 slices Bread
2 tsp Cheese (grated)
1 Green Chilli (thin long variety)
1/2 tsp Chilli flakes
1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp Mayonnaise
1/2 tsp Tomato sauce
1 tsp capsicum (optional)
Method:
1)Cut green chillies finely and grate cheese. Keep aside.
2)Take the bread slice and apply the Mayonnaise,tomato sauce and spread equally. Then spread cheese & chilli.
3) Sprinkle seasoning & chilli falkes evenly on top and cover with the remaining slices.
4)Heat a toaster/sandwich maker for few seconds. Place the prepared bread slices and cook till it turns golden brown.
5) Cut diagonally and serve hot with tomato sauce!
My Notes:
1)You can add capsicum as its less spicy.
2)Use long green chillies as it is less spicy.

Vegetarian Burger (Aloo patties)

Burger is one such dish my daughter wanted me to try from long….So i tried for her and it really came out well .. She enjoyed it ….. Veg burger with homemade burger patty recipe…… All time Popular and favorite snack. There’s nothing better than a home made burger. You can make this veg burger just in 15 minutes and you can also make it your own burgers with different spices and herbs. You can also enjoy cutlets with tea at evening time. Ingredients :
For veg patties / potato patties / aloo tikki:
Potato 2 ( big)
Green peas 2 tbsp
Capsicum 2 tsp finely chopped
Coriander powder 1/2 tbsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seed powder 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Garam masala 2 pinch
Bread crumps 1/2 cup
Oil to fry
For corn flour – maida paste:
Maida 2 tsp
Corn flour 1 tsp
Water 1/4 cup
For burger sauce / mayo-tomato sauce:
Eggless mayonnaise sauce 2 tbsp
Tomato sauce 2 tbsp
Chilli sauce 2 tbsp
For burger assembling:
Burger bun 4 pieces
Tomato 2 sliced
Onion 2 sliced
Cheese slice 4
Burger stick 4
Mix maida and corn flour in a wide bowl.
Add required water and make a smooth paste.
keep aside..
For making Burger sauce recipe :
Take a small bowl add mayonnaise sauce , green chilli sauce & tomato sauce.
Mix well and keep aside
For Making Aloo patties:
1) Boil the potatoes and peel the skin, Boil the green peas in hot water for 5 minutes and drain the water thoroughly.
3) You can add finely chopped coriander leaves too.
4) Mix them nicely to form a firm mixture.If you feel the mixture is not firm, add 1-2 tblsp of all purpose flour(maida)
5) Now take a handful of mixture and give a nice round shape. slightly press uniformly to make patties. adjust the size according to the size of burger bun or you can shape it with round shape ring.
6) Dip each patty in corn-flour maida paste. cover on both the sides
7) Then coat the patty in breadcrumbs. alternatively, you can also use semolina / rava.
8) Heat oil for shallow frying. meanwhile, dust the excess bread crumbs. place them carefully in the medium hot oil
9) Then one side is golden, flip and fry the other side. drain the patty on kitchen paper towels to remove excess oil.
1) Take a large burger bun and cut them half horizontally
2) Spread the burger sauce or any dressing you are using on the down part of the bun.
3) Place a lettuce over it and press 9i didnt use in the pic)
4) Place the Aloo patty on it and place onion& tomato slice carefully on it
6) Apply burger sauce on the other half of burger bun (bottom part bun)
7) Close the buns tightly. You can insert a tooth pick too

My kids are basket ball players and i fed up daily making some new healthy snacks which will give them more energy to study after they reach home tiring… I tried making Fruit custard and to my surprise my kids loved it can hide lots of fruits, dates, dry fruits and nuts in them which is so healhty . All these fruits topped with a delicious custard.. Fruit custard is one of the easiest dessert and also very tasty and healthy.. Fruit custard is a great dish to serve for parties since it involves less efforts but taste really good. Try to add a good amount of nuts and dry fruits in them, they gives the crunchy and chewy texture. Today we will learn how to make fruit custard following this easy recipe.
Ingredients :
Vanilla flavored Custard powder
3 tbsp for mixing custard powder
Milk – 500 ml (2 1/2 cups)
Sugar – 50 grams (1/4 cup) or as required
Mixed fruits – anything of your choice

Khaman dhokla

Khaman dhokla is a delicious Gujarati snack which is similar texture like cake is very popular in India….. Khaman dhokla are prepared and steamed till. It’s luffiest, softest, spongiest like idlis.. If you tried making dhokla but never got a fluffy and soft sure checkout this way…
INGREDIENTS :
- For Dhokla :
- Besan/ Chickpea flour – 250 gms (1 & 1/2 cup)
- Curd/Yogurt – 1/2 cup (not very sour)
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Cooking/Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
- For seasoning to be mixed to the batter (to be added just before cooking)
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric a pinch
- Green Chili paste – 1 – 2 (or as per taste)
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Citric acid – quarter tsp (or lemon juice)
- Eno – 1 small packet (green colour fruit lime) + some more for sprinkling on the plate
- salt to taste
- For tempering
- Mustard Seeds
- Little water + Oil to be topped on dhoklas
METHOD:
1) Mix first 1/2 cup curds with 1/2 water
2) Add the besan and mix well to get a lump less batter, the consistency should be of idli batter, more of dropping not pouring consistency.
3)Now take a steaming high sided plate and grease it well with oil. Set aside till use.
4)Slowly add more water if needed else, add the soda. Keep it aside to rise for 1 hour. To the batter mix in the citric acid, oil, salt, sugar, green chili paste and turmeric powder. Mix well. This has to be done just before pouring to the plate
5)Meanwhile have the pan on stove, and let the water start boiling. When the water reaches the rolling stage, you can mix the eno to the batter (Save little of eno for dusting on the plate), mix gently, you will see bubbles coming out.
6)Pour it immediately in the grease plate and pop into the steamer.
Steam it for 15 to 20 mins or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
6) When the dhokla is steaming, make the green chutney. Take all ingredients in a blender and make into a smooth paste. Your green chutney is done. Set aside till serving.
7) Now After 20 mins remove the dhokla from the steamer and set aside. Now make the tempering, heat oil in a tadka pan, add in mustard, green chilli, asafoetida and let them sizzle for a min. Take it off the stove and Pour in water and mix them well.
8) Now drizzle this all over the dhokla, you can top it with coriander leaves and coconut.
9) Slice and Serve with green chutney.

I have tried 1) Seasoned French Fries which is crispy with peri peri seasonings served with two mayo dips.
2) Pasta which is really delicious with white sauce ..but me and my daughter were searching for broccoli but it was not there so its a suggestion to add more vegetables so that it will be more yummy ….
3)Fried rice..It tasted like Schezwan rice but again it can be bit more spicy to fulfilled me ..

Oats upma recipe

A bowl of freshly cooked oats upma can be one of the healthiest options for breakfast to fight against diabetes .Regular oats with milk can be very boring sometimes, that too when you are in a big crave for spicy start. This version of oats upma could be one good recipe for everyone !!!!!
1 cup Oats (quacker)
2 Green Chilli
1/2 cup chopped vegetables u like (Carrot ,Capsicum,peas, beans)
1 cup Water
1 tsp Lemon Juice
2 tsp Oil
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds

Method:
First take a pan roast oats for 2-3 minutes or until it start to be aromatic, take care not to burn it, keep aside
Now Peel and chop onion and finely chop carrot, capsicum, beans, green chilies, coriander leaves and keep aside.
Now Heat oil in a pan, then add Mustard Seeds & ground nut saute until it becomes golden brown.
Add onion and fry until transparent. Add vegetables, green chillies fry in medium flame for 2 minutes. Add a little salt just for the vegetables
Add coriander leaves, lemon juice stir and off flame.
Cover the pan and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Healthy Oats Thepla

½ cup Quaker Oats
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
1/4 tsp Coriander powder
a pinch of asafoetida
chopped green chilly to taste
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil( 1tsp in dough and 1 while cooking)
Method:
To begin making the thepla Recipe Take a bowl Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and make a batter out of it
Set aside for 10 mins. Divide into 4-5 balls and roll into thin chapatis.
Now Sprinkle a drop of oil on a non-stick pan and cook till both the sides are crispy & golden
Now the tasty and healthy Oats Thepla are ready to serve! Relish with your favourite gravy or chutney, curd , tomato sauce or curd !!!!
Oats Apple Kheer

Payasam or Kheer is a traditional Indian dessert that is served in weddings, made for festivals and so on. It is the simplest of Indian desserts that can be whipped up in a jiffy. if needed and also chop the apple finely instead of grating.
1 cup Oats (quacker oats)
4 tsp Sugar
1 cup Milk
5 Almonds
Now add oats & Stir well.
Now Add sugar & cardamom powder and stir well to make sure there are no lumps.
Keep it on low flame for one minute.
Garnish with almonds and raisins.
Serve hot or u can freeze it also have chilled kheer which will be more tastier
